Update about office operations – COVID-19

April 29, 2020

As we plan for the loosening of Florida’s stay-at-home restrictions, we want to update you on the status of our practice operations. Beginning Thursday, April 30, we are slowly and cautiously resuming in-office patient appointments to provide follow-up care for our patients and to administer sleep apnea treatment to those who need it.

The health and wellbeing of our patients and team members has always been of utmost priority and we take our responsibility to provide a safe environment seriously. In addition to following CDC-recommended precautions and standard safety procedures, we have implemented these new protocols:

  • Virtual waiting room – To help maintain responsible social distancing standards, all patients should remain in their vehicles and call the office to notify us of their arrival. We will then call the patient back when it’s appropriate to enter the practice, and they will be taken directly to their exam room.
  • Patient screening – We will check the temperature of all patients and screen for risk factors associated with the coronavirus.
  • Increased disinfection protocols – Including requesting that all patients wash their hands upon arrival, frequent disinfection of all common areas, and complete disinfection of all exam rooms after appointments.

We will also continue to offer telemedicine for most appointments for patients who prefer that option.

Now and always, we are committed to providing you with the highest standard of care. We will continue to monitor the situation as we gradually resume operations and keep you informed of any updates.

If you have any questions or wish to make an appointment, please contact us at 561-353-5252.

Yours in health,

Dr. Kenneth Mogell and Staff at Florida Dental Sleep Disorders
