Meet Your Boca Raton, Vero Beach, Jupiter,
& Melbourne Sleep Apnea Dentist
Kenneth A. Mogell, DMD
Dr. Mogell has been practicing dentistry in Boca Raton since 1985. A Detroit native, Dr. Mogell completed high school on Miami Beach and attended Florida State University where he graduated with a degree in Nursing. He then attended the University of Florida College of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry in 1984.
Although Dr. Mogell attended both schools, he is still a Seminole at heart and tries to make it back to Tallahassee at least once each fall for a football game.
Dr. Mogell also has extensive training and experience in neuromuscular dentistry and has been treating patients with jaw joint disorders for over 20 years. Assisting patients with sleep disordered breathing is a natural extension of his neuromuscular practice and makes him uniquely qualified to treat snoring and sleep apnea with comprehensive, non-surgical oral appliance therapy.
American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (ABDSM), Dr. Mogell is part of an elite group of dentists who have met the highest educational and experiential standards, possessing an in-depth level of knowledge in the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea using oral appliance therapy. He is the only Diplomate of the ABDSM treating sleep apnea patients in Palm Beach, Martin, St. Lucie, Brevard and Indian River counties.
American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine
The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) promotes research and the clinical use of oral appliances and upper airway surgery for the treatment of sleep-related breathing disorders (SBD) and provides training and resources for those who work directly with patients.
American Academy of Sleep Medicine
Founded in 1975, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine is dedicated to diagnosing, understanding, and treating such sleep disorders as insomnia, narcolepsy, and obstructive sleep apnea. The AASM and its many members do this by promoting excellence in all areas of sleep medicine, including treatment, education, and research.
American Dental Association
Founded in 1895, the American Dental Association is committed to supporting scientific research, promoting ethical standards for practice, and providing dentists and patients alike with the latest information on oral health and dental care. It is the largest and oldest dental society of its kind in the world, with a membership of more than 157,000 dentists.
Florida Dental Association
Like the ADA, the Florida Dental Association provides services for dentists and the public. These services include, primarily, educating dentists and residents of Florida on the latest developments within dentistry. Moreover, the FDA is concerned with promoting ethical standards of practice for its members and encouraging continuing education.
