Dr. Kenneth Mogell, DMD, DABDSM
Dr. Kenneth Mogell has been practicing dentistry in our area in 1985. He is originally from Detroit, but he finished high school in Miami Beach and went on to attend Florida State University, where he completed a degree in nursing. Then, he began attending classes at the University of Florida College of Dentistry and received his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree in 1984.
Dr. Mogell is proud to have much experience and training in neuromuscular dentistry. He has been helping patients from across South Florida to find relief from the pain and inconvenience of jaw joint disorders for over 20 years. Serving patients who suffer from obstructive sleep apnea is a natural extension of his neuromuscular practice. His unique background makes him highly qualified as a sleep dentist in Jupiter. He approaches snoring and obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) with effective, comfortable, and non-surgical oral appliance therapy.

Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (DABDSM), Dr. Mogell is a member of a small group of dentists who have met the most rigorous experiential and educational standards for dental sleep medicine. He possesses an extensive knowledge of the treatment of OSA using custom oral sleep appliances. He has the remarkable distinction of being the only DABDSM helping patients in Martin, Indian River, Palm Beach, Brevard, and St. Lucie counties.
AMERICAN ACADEMY OF DENTAL SLEEP MEDICINE
The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) is an organization that encourages research and the clinical use of upper airway surgery, as well as oral sleep appliances, to treat sleep-related breathing disorders. It also offers training and resources to those who work with patients on an everyday basis.
AMERICAN ACADEMY OF SLEEP MEDICINE
Since it was established in 1975, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) has maintained a focus on studying and treating various sleep disorders, including OSA, narcolepsy, and insomnia. The AASM accomplishes its goal by encouraging excellence in all areas of sleep medicine.
AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION
Since its founding in 1859, the American Dental Association (ADA) has worked diligently to support scientific research, promote ethics among dental professionals, and provide both dentists and patients alike with accurate information on dental care and oral health. It is the oldest and largest dental society of its kind; it boasts a membership of over 157,000 dentists.
FLORIDA DENTAL ASSOCIATION
Like the American Dental Association, the Florida Dental Association offers services to both dentists and the public. Foremost among those services is educating dentists and Florida residents on the latest developments in dentistry and oral health. This organization is also deeply concerned with promoting ethical standards of practice among dentists and encouraging them to pursue continuing education.
Beyond the Dental Office
Dr. Mogell attended both Florida State University and University of Florida, but his heart remains with the Seminoles. When he is not working hard as a sleep dentist in Jupiter, he makes efforts to visit Tallahassee at least once every autumn to support his favorite team.
