Dr. Kenneth Mogell, DMD, DABDSM
Dr. Kenneth Mogell has been practicing dentistry in South Florida in 1985. He originally hails from Detroit, but Dr. Mogell completed high school in Miami Beach and went on to attend Florida State University, where he received a degree in nursing. Afterward, he was admitted into the University of Florida College of Dentistry and completed his Doctor of Medical Dentistry degree in 1984.
Dr. Mogell possesses extensive experience and training in neuromuscular dentistry. He has been helping patients from nearby communities to find relief from jaw joint disorders for over 20 years. Serving patients with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a natural extension of his neuromuscular practice. His background makes him uniquely qualified as a sleep dentist in Vero Beach. He treats snoring and sleep apnea with comfortable, effective, and non-surgical oral appliance therapy.

Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine
As a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine (DABDSM), Dr. Mogell belongs to a small group of dentists who meet the highest experiential and educational standards for the practice of dental sleep medicine. He possesses an in-depth knowledge of the treatment of obstructive sleep apnea using custom oral appliances. He has the distinction of being the only DABDSM practicing in Martin, Palm Beach, Brevard, St. Lucie, and Indian River counties.

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF DENTAL SLEEP MEDICINE
The American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine (AADSM) encourages research and the clinical use of upper airway surgery and oral sleep appliances to treat sleep-related breathing disorders (SBD). It also offers resources and training to those who work directly with patients.

AMERICAN ACADEMY OF SLEEP MEDICINE
Since its founding in 1975, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) has been focused on studying, diagnosing, and treating various sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and insomnia. The AASM and its members accomplish their goal by promoting excellence in all areas of sleep medicine.

AMERICAN DENTAL ASSOCIATION
Since it was established in the mid-19th century (1859), the American Dental Association (ADA) has worked hard to support scientific research, promote ethical standards for dental professionals, and provide dentists and patients alike with reliable information on dental care and oral health. It is the oldest and largest dental society in the world; it has a membership of more than 157,000 dentists.

FLORIDA DENTAL ASSOCIATION
Similar to the ADA, the Florida Dental Association offers services to both dentists and the general public. Foremost among its services is educating dentists and residents of Florida on the latest developments that relate to dentistry and oral health. Additionally, this organization is concerned with promoting ethical standards of practice among its members and encouraging dentists to pursue continuing education.
Beyond the Dental Office
Dr. Mogell attended both Florida State University and University of Florida, but his loyalty is with the Seminoles. When he isn’t working hard as a sleep dentist in Vero Beach, he tries to visit Tallahassee at least once each year to support his favorite team.
